Going to Hell
This is the way to Hell, literally. This is a lake in an old volcanic crater near Krafla Volcano in Iceland. The water is normally warm because of the geothermal powers that created this beatiful place but we were there in the spring while there was still alot of cold water that had melted from snow on the slopes of the crater.
But still. We went to Hell. And then we bathed there…

Fording Tungná River
So. A few weeks back I went on an epic road trip. Four huge jeeps, nine people and a huge glacier (Vatnajökull glacier in Iceland, the biggest glacier in Europe). I will be sharing photos from the trip over the next days.
Tungná is at the roots of Vatnajökull glacier and we had to cross it to get at the glacier.

Jökulheimar hut

This is the hut where we spent our first night, at the edge of the glacier. In front of the hut is my friends trusted Land Cruiser, which is the car I mostly travelled in.
